Live Bands
This year's Hullabaloo features a fantastic assortment of live bands; mixing big and small with top favourites and fresh new talent. Some of the bands have been acquiring charts and rehearsing new material especially for the dancers at Hullaballoo!

Adam Hall & The Velvet Playboys
The VPs are a lively six-piece band that are sure to kick things off with massive energy. At home in their regular Friday night Mustang Bar timeslot, they'll be serving up plenty of classic Swing, Boogie Woogie and Blues. Look out for the VP's recently recorded album featuring Rhythm & Blues legend Big Jay McNeely!

Windy City Jazzmen
The Windy City Jazzmen return to swing out the Midland Masquerade Ball. With its tightly orchestrated arrangements the eight-piece band often sound like a Big Band. They bring a wide range of swing music from New Orleans, Chicago, the Swing Era and mainstream jazz right through to the ‘shuffle sounds’ of Louis Prima and popular jazz standards.

OZ Big Band
The Hullabaloo Hop will be jumpin to the big sound of the Oz Big Band. Expect a mix of dance-friendly Basie, Lunceford, Ellington, Miller and Sinatra and experience the live sound of a true big band! Word on the street is that they've been rehearsing new material especially for the dancers at Hullabaloo!

June Smith & The Apple Band
Sensational Jazz singer June Smith and four-piece group, The Apple Band play for dancers at our closing party. Expect to hear plenty of hit songs of the jazz maestros Duke Ellington, Fats Waller & more.
